Simon Makes fun of This Gospel Singer Then Everyone is Blown AwayJesus Daily
Worship is an integral part of being a Christian. We worship God because he is perfectly loving, perfectly just, and perfectly giving. Stated simply, Christians worship God because he is worshipful. We recognize God’s perfect love for all of creation and cannot help but sing him praises! For the pastor in the video, his performance was one you will NEVER forget! Watch the video to witness the UNEXPECTED!
Worship can also be a powerful tool for sharing the Gospel. When we sing praises about God’s perfect love for all to hear, we are not only being informative to those with ears to hear, but we are also displaying the tangible ways in which God’s love has affected us. The gospel really is good news! This is exactly what happened during this episode of Britain’s Got Talent. I believe the love and grace of God was on full display through the choirs amazing performance. Even the audience was on their feet!
Dr. Tabor’s Three Favorite Verses On Worship
“Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, and extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him— his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling,” Psalm 68: 4-5.
“My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long,” Psalm 71:8.
“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness,” Psalm 29:2.
While the Bible teaches us that we may worship God with any type of action, singing is by far my favorite. It is my time to come to the Lord and simply praise Him. Too often Christians take God’s gifts for granted. We often fail to recognize just how much we need him; how much thanks we actually owe him. Yet I realize that we could never hope to pay him back. I also realize that God knows we could never pay him back, and He is ok with that. God does not want anything from us; He just wants us. Does that not make you want to stand up and worship? Halleluiah!
