She Ignored The Bullies and Embraced Her BeautyJesus Daily
When you look different, the bullies seem to never take a day off. Going through life with people staring because you look different can take a toll on you. Can you imagine, being born with a series of birthmarks that cover every facet of your body? 19-year-old Ciera Swaringen was born with a rare skin condition where 70% of her body is covered with birthmarks. However, she has never let this condition or the bullies define who she is, and she will never give into to self hatred in the future. With family and friends who have her back, she is one pretty girl.
Despite the harsh words and name calling, Ciera became a stronger individual even when the taunts were gross. Let’s face it, being mean has taken over the planet. Ciera doesn’t let her birthmarks or physical appearance discourage her. In fact, her spots have made her happier!
Embracing your uniqueness is the first step to being you. The beauty industry has been growing phenomenally and girls are being ostracized because they do not fit in with a certain crowd. If she has excessive acne, frizzy hair, is heavy, or whatever seems “ugly” to the general public, she is automatically put down and discouraged.
Being born with birthmarks all over your body is not a very easy way to get by in life. In fact, it makes you pose the question “why me” all the time. Without sermonizing, the only way to get by is to accept who you are without a care, and that is what Ciera did. epitomizes what it takes to be pretty and set the tone. In fact, she can teach people a thing or two!
Dear Sister and Brother,
1. God never fails.
2. God will never turn his back on you.
3. I pray that whatever you are going through in your life, God will show you a way through it and that you be showered with His mercy and grace.
A relationship starts with communication…remember to talk to Jesus daily..
