INSANE!!! There’s 3 Seconds Left on the Clock…down by 2…Now Watch What He Does with This Ball…

3 seconds on the clock… Down by 2. Then, he does this – and the crowd lose its mind!

We all love a nail-biting ending; the type that leave us on the edge of our seats. However, in this game, for one athlete, it brought about a desire to make one seemingly impossible final effort to win the game. As the teams positioned themselves for a free throw, watch what the young man does when he gets his hands on the ball. No one can believe it! Watch one incredible move by one even more incredible player. Witness the AMAZING reaction of the fans and do not miss the reaction of the person behind the camera! Wow! You would NEVER believe it if you did not see it for yourself! Talk about a happy ending!

The most amazing types of stories are those of unexpected victory. People love these types of stories so much that they are often reluctant to believe them. A common response is “It is just too good a story to be true.” Indeed, the more amazing a story is, the more skepticism it attracts. Consider the video. If I told you that a high school basketball player made a full-court shot with one arm to win the game in the last 2 seconds, how quickly would you believe it? Would you need to watch the video first? I certainly would. However, when we are met with proof, we, not unlike the fans at the basketball game, react with a sense of happiness and excitement that bursts at the seams. The fans of the team could not help but run onto the court in celebration! I bet that after the game those fans were telling anyone who would listen about the amazing and unexpected victory. Wouldn’t you?

Another, even more amazing story of victory, is that of the cross. God came to the earth as a man, lived among us, was persecuted, crucified, and subsequently raised from the dead so that we may have life. Such a story is one so amazing that most cannot help but be skeptical of its truth. Perhaps the story of Jesus’ unfailing love is just “too good to be true.” However, like the fans at the basketball game, we are met with a convincing proof: the empty tomb. In light of this proof, what should be our response? I think the basketball fans got it right. Our response should be one of insane happiness and excitement. We ought to be running onto the courts of life and proclaiming the amazing story of God’s unexpected victory. Have you shared the Gospel today?

Dr. Tabor’s 3 Ways To Respond to God’s Good News

Be exited! God’s good news is NOT too good to be true. It is both good and true. God loves you so much that, “He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him,” (John 3:16-17).

Celebrate! The Bible tells us to “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises,” (Psalms 98:4).

Spread the Word! Let others celebrate with you! Spread the word of God’s good news so that others might be just as excited as you are! “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age,” (Matthew 28: 19-20).
