Dad Asks His 3-Year-Old Girl To Sing On The Mic, What She Does Next Is Amazing

Occasionally a video finds its way to my screen that succeeds in rejuvenating my heartfelt belief in and recognition of the genuine beauty of the world in which we live. This is one of those videos. Much of Disney, both their movies and theme parks, invite a plethora of pleasant childhood memories: memories of a simple yet vast world of valiant princes and brilliant mouse detectives that could give even the great Sherlock Holmes a run for his money. When I watched this video, all those memories came rushing to the forefront. Watch the video and you will know what I mean! I dare you not to cry!

There is a beauty and innocence to this young girl’s voice that incites an ear-to-ear smile and tears of joy. “Why?” you might ask; because this video reminds me that goodness is not a fantasy. Goodness resides nearby, vying for a glance, yet remaining ignored. Unfortunately, the dark parts of the world command our attention. So much so that we often forget that goodness genuinely exists. Am I wrong? Have you ever said something along the lines of “Such and such has restored my faith in humanity?” I certainly have. But why? Goodness is there for us to see, if only we would take the time to look. Therefore, in the spirit of beauty and goodness, I challenge you to find one good thing, each hour, for the next 6 hours of your day; that is six good things, all together. I believe it will be easier than you think. Let us know what you find!

Dr. Tabor’s Three Favorite Verses on Goodness

“The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them,” Psalm 145:15-19

“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good,” Romans 12:9.

“God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good,” Genesis 1:10.

Share if you believe in goodness!
