3 year-old boy tells parents a man talks to him at night…what they discovered is terrifying…Jesus Daily
It’s a parent’s worst nightmare – a stranger in your child’s bedroom at night. But, what if you were the one that unknowingly let that stranger in? Modern technology brings safety and convenience to our lives. But, it also introduces unforeseen threats. Imagine the horror when parents discover that the very thing they are using to keep their three-year-old safe and secure at night, welcomes a stranger into their home. The boy told his parents that he heard a man’s voice at night when he was falling asleep, but his parents weren’t sure what to make of it. What would you think? It would be confusing at best!
But, one night, they heard something strange, too. Watch and see what it was!
And, it’s not just that they can watch the baby. There are a number of monitors on the market these days, including those that monitor a baby’s breathing, that provide two-way communication and that feature a night-vision camera. The latter is what was used in this video!
As disconcerting as it is to imagine a stranger watching your child, we can take comfort in knowing that God is always watching over us. So, no matter what else might be going on around us, we have a heavenly Father who loves us and never leaves us.
So, while this video might be discomforting, God’s love is comforting!
Dr. Tabor shares three encouragements that God is watching over us.
1. God never slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:3-4). It might seem obvious, but God is no human. He does not get tired. He does not need to sleep or rest. While you are asleep, God is always alert and about his work on this earth. He never takes a break from caring for you.
2. God’s eyes are everywhere (Proverbs 15:3). God is watching everything. He is omnipresent, and the Bible tells us he is watching at all times – all things – good and evil. There is nothing that is outside of the scope of God’s vision. He sees and and he knows all.
3. The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him (2 Chronicles 16:9). God wants to strengthen us and encourage us. He is always watching over us and wants us to know his care and comfort.
In our limited sense, we use monitors to watch over our children – like the parents in this video. Imagine their disbelief when they heard a voice coming into their child’s room telling the boy to wake up, that someone was coming.
Watch what happened when the father entered the room and the warning it gives to other parents seeking to keep their children safe.
Share if you know a parent who needs to know this important information!
